Estonian Air Flight Postponed, Engine in Flames
On the evening of February 20, a Boeing 737 operated by the national carrier Estonian Air had to turn back from the runway as flames shot out of its right engine.
Estonian Air has publicly announced that their Stockholm-bound Boeing's engine had problems and the plane had to turn back from the runway. There was no mention of the engine burning with an intense flame, according to Postimees.ee.
"The engine did not catch fire but flames did come out of it, probably caused by the engine's uneven working, as too much fuel got into the combustion chamber, which then burst into flame," said Mart Lubi, an Estonian Air pilot.
Lubi added that the flame itself was not dangerous and "things like that can sometimes happen."
