Fentanyl Dealers Arrested
In a street bust last week, police arrested 15 individuals suspected of dealing large quantities of fentanyl, uudised.err.ee reported.
Half of those arrested have previously been convicted for similar crimes. One suspect faces the additional suspicion of supplying drugs to a minor, police spokeswoman Helen Uldrich told uudised.err.ee.
Also during the three-day bust, police discovered a 62-plant marijuana grow in Harju County, as well as stolen goods - bicycles and smartphones - and a large quantity of possibly dirty money.
"In the course of such operations we recover a lot of important information from street dealers that we can use to catch criminals higher up in the food chain,“ said Kaido Kõplas, head of the anti-narcotics department in the North Prefecture.
In the first half of the year, the North Prefecture has detained 146 people suspected of dealing large quantities of drugs, up by 22 compared with the same period last year.
