Conscripts To Get Raise in Allowance
Starting next year, conscripts in the military will get a slight raise in their monthy stipend, used for everyday expenses.
Conscript will get 100 euros instead of the current 75. The allowance for corporals will rise to 125 euros from 100 euros, and sergeants will receive 200 euros instead of 135.
The change in the defense budget will cost the Ministry of Defense roughly 275,000 euros a year. The 2015 defense budget's allotment for personnel is roughly 3.46 million euros.
The stipend is customarily given to pay soldiers' costs for day-to-day expenses, such as transport, leisure wear, communication, and hygenic needs, which are not provided by the Defense Forces.
