Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden to Visit Estonia
The Swedish heir to the throne and her husband Prince Daniel will visit Estonia on October 28-29.
The aim of the royal visit is to strengthen cultural, economic and environmental cooperation between Estonia and Sweden.
On the first day of the visit, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will meet President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and First Lady Evelin Ilves. They will also take part in the Swedish Business Awards ceremony at Kumu Art Museum, where the princess will make a short speech. They will then proceed to the Old Town of Tallinn to lay flowers at the foot of the Estonia ferry memorial and participate in the Sustainable Development Forum 2014 dedicated to the Gulf of Finland Year and Baltic Sea Year.
The program for the second day of the visit includes a tour of Ericsson Estonia, after which the royal couple will travel to Tartu, where they participate in a presentation ceremony of the Nordic Museum's ethnography collection and ethno-design seminar at the Estonian National Museum. They will also meet members of the Estonian Students' Society and visit the University of Tartu.
