EKRE to stage events in support of European anti-immigrant protests
The Estonian Conservative People's Party (EKRE) plans to stage events across the country at 15:00 on February 6 to show solidarity with protests against mass immigration and Islamization of Europe that are to be held in many European cities at the same time.
The support events will according to current plans take place in Tallinn, the western Lääne County, on Muhu Island, at a recreation center near Viljandi, in Rakvere, Paide and Põlva, and the Tartu and Võru offices of the party.
The European demonstrations are organized by Fortress Europe, a cooperation group of right-wing conservative forces which brings together representatives of numerous European countries' popular movements and parties. EKRE represents Estonia in the group.
The organizers predict that tens of thousands of people will turn out for the February 6 rallies in Germany alone.
Demonstrations will also take place in 10 Polish and four French cities and in many other places including Australia, EKRE said.
