Budget Passes Second Reading in Parliament
The second reading of the state budget continued in Parliament after it was cut off last week by filibustering tactics by the opposition.
At the session on November 18, which lasted until the early hours, the Centre Party asked for a ten-minute recess before each amendment item was voted on, ETV news reported.
Only one of the over 100 votes was close, 37-36, while the rest were easily defeated by the coalition's deputies.
On November 23, the remaining 24 amendments were passed in less than 30 minutes.
