Evidence Points to Russian Involvement in MH17 Crash, Says Estonian PM
Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas said the separatists already had the advanced Buk missile system at the beginning of the week in which the Malaysia Airlines flight was shot down.
He said on Sunday that besides the unclassified information, Estonia has received information which confirms the aircraft was shot down by the separatists and that Russia played a role.
Rõivas followed up on the reports that the US had detected the launch of a surface-to-air missile shortly before the aircraft dropped off the radar.
“We would not be talking about the deaths of 300 people right now had Ukraine not been pulled into a Russia-initiated and politically and materially supported conflict,” he said, adding that Russia must stop all forms of support for the terrorists and allow Ukraine to regain control over its territory.
