PM Stands Behind KAPO Yearbook
Prime Minister Andrus Ansip has come out in defense of a national security agency (KAPO) annual report that controversially singled out Tallinn Deputy Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart, saying that it did not contain any false allegations or factual inaccuracies.
Answering questions in Parliament on April 18, Ansip characterized the report as an important part of KAPO's public communication and efforts to become more open.
"I can say that this is one of the most anticipated periodicals published in Estonia and the resonance its publication creates is usually somewhat strong," said Ansip.
"[It makes] people start to think, and in my opinion that's the publication's goal - to inform people so that they can think about the direction in which they want our country to develop," he said.
