Reform Party Names Minister Candidates, Rõivas's Team Now Complete
The Reform Party announced the seven names who, besides Rõivas, will take up ministerial positions after the President has approved the new government.
Five of the 14 minister candidates are women, tying Siim Kallas's 2002-2003 cabinet for most gender-integrated.
The proposed government is:
Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas, 34, Reform Party, previously the Minister of Social Affairs
Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet, 39, Reform Party, continues in same post since 2005
Minister of the Interior Hanno Pevkur, 36, Reform Party, Minister of Justice until now
Minister of Defense Sven Mikser, 40, Social Democrats, head of the party, MP, former Defense Minister 2002 to 2003
Minister of Education and Research Jevgeni Ossinovski, 28, Social Democrats, MP
Minister of Justice Andres Anvelt, 44, Social Democrats, MP, former head of the Criminal Police
Minister of Environment Keit Pentus-Rosimannus, 38, Reform Party, continues in same post since 2011
Minister of Culture Urve Tiidus, 59, Reform Party, continues in same post since end of 2013
Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Urve Palo, 41, Social Democrats, MP, former Population and Ethnic Affairs Minister, 2007 to 2009
Minister of Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship Anne Sulling, 37, joining the Reform Party, current adviser to Prime Minister Andrus Ansip
Minister of Agriculture Ivari Padar, 49, Social Democrats, MEP, former Agriculture (1999 to 2002) and Finance (2007 to 2009) Minister
Minister of Finance Jürgen Ligi, 54, Reform Party, continues in same post since 2009
