Estonian Wikipedia to Reach 100,000 Articles
Celebrating its 10th birthday yesterday, Wikipedia is the free online encyclopedia that should never be relied on completely, but which, along with internet search engines, has rendered pointless factual arguments.
Created by anyone and everyone who wants to contribute, the Estonian-language version of the website has become the largest Estonian encyclopedia in nine years.
Producing around 11,000 articles per year, the Estonian Wikipedia will reach 100,000 articles in less than a year.
Headed by Raul Veede, the Estonian representatives of the nonprofit Wikimedia met in Tartu's city library to commemorate the occasion.
