European Researchers Gather in Tartu for Annual Conference
COST, an intergovernmental European research agency, is currently holding its annual conference at the University of Tartu physics institute.
From September 13 to 15, researchers from 36 countries will discuss projects in the fields of material sciences, physics and nanotechnology.
The organization will discuss its most successful recent projects and decide which new projects to finance, as well as the general direction for innovation in the field and cooperation with entrepreneurs.
In a press release, the director of the university's physics institute, Marco Kirm, said a number of local researchers are also members of the organization, including Alvo Aabloo, who will lead a committee of scientists responsible for the creation of the European Scientific Network for Artificial Muscles.
