Charity Site Connects Organizations with Donors
Marketing specialists have launched a charity site called help.ee to build virtual bridges between charity organizations and donors.
ETV reported that four hours after the site opened, 2,000 people had already visited it, most of whom had furniture and clothing to offer.
Two hundred queries had been sent to aid organizations, although it was too little time to receive much feedback.
The website can also be used to post calls for blood when Tallinn's hospitals are running low. Bloggers can install a widget - a bloodletter - that is connected to Tallinn Blood Centre.
Kaupo Kalda, the leader of the Help.ee project, said: "Both my wife and I are alive today thanks to donors. As we are both in marketing and see the trouble faced by the organizations trying to get the word out, it was a relatively easy route to creating this project. I had no reasons not to do it."
