Speed limits raised for the season
One of the indicators that winter is over and won't reappear is the annual decision by the Road Administration to begin increasing speed limits on four-lane state roads to 110 kilometers per hour.
Starting today, the speed limits will be increased on 125 kilometers of roads, slightly more than the 115 kilometers last year.
As last year, the higher speed limits will only be established on roads with at least two lanes in each direction.
According to the weather service, temperatures could be as high as 16 C on Saturday, at least in eastern parts of the country. Temperatures are expected to drop after the weekend but are likely to remain around 10 C during the day.
