Four men killed in fire
A house fire in southern Estonia has claimed the lives of four men in a particularly deadly tragedy as heating season gets into full swing.
The charred remnants of the building in Meeksi municipality in Tartu County was discovered only in the morning.
Arson is not suspected, officials said; the house was inhabited by two brothers who according to reports, had a social gathering involving drinking in the evening.
The house was not equipped with a smoke alarm.
Estonia has a fire safety tip line, 1524, which can be used to report potential problems - for example, high-risk behavior patterns in neighbors.
