Leok: Season Wasn’t Easy, but Satisfactory
Moto talent Tanel Leok took sixth place overall in the motocross world championships.
For a second year in a row, the world champion was Antonio Cairoli. Second place went to Clement Desalle and third to David Philippaerts.
“In my opinion, sixth place overall is a good result. The season wasn’t easy, various mishaps stole valuable points,” said Leok to Postimees. “Next year needs to be much more stable […] Before the season, my goal was to be in the top five. I missed that by a little bit, but despite everything, I’m content with the season.”
In the season’s last race in Italy, Leok came in 15th. “This whole weekend, I couldn’t get up to a good speed,” said Leok. “Also, I couldn’t get the right feel for it. I have a long season behind me; I’m a bit tired too. Since the overall sixth place was pretty certain, I couldn’t get the right motivation together either.”
