Estonia ends first rugby European Nations Cup with 106-0 win
The Estonian national rugby team came third, from four teams, in its first ever appearance at the European Nations Cup, beating the Montenegro B team 106-0 in the third-fourth place match on Tuesday.
Estonia lost the first game 27-29 to Montenegro's main team on Saturday and played against the B team on Tuesday.
Estonia was due to play Greece on Saturday in the first match, but after the International Rugby Board found financial irregularities, the Greek team was disqualified and Estonia had to face a much stronger Montenegro side, playing at home.
Slovakia beat Montenegro in the final, but due to reorganization, will not be promoted to the next highest division.
Estonia beat Belarus 59-12 in Tallinn last year to qualify for the tournament, which has eight levels. Estonia began in the lowest division, and will play there again next year.
