Estonia Overcomes Slovakia in EuroBasket Qualifiers
The home team saw a successful start at the 2013 EuroBasket qualifying round when Estonia defeated Slovakia 95-74 on Wednesday evening.
Estonia was leading 27-20 after the first quarter and added 24-22 in the second, reported sport.err.ee.
The Slovaks managed to tie near the end of the first half with a score of 40-40, but a Gert Dorbek-led spurt netted eight points for the Estonians, finishing the first half with 51-42.
Estonia continued to dominate the court and grabbed 75-60 after 30 minutes, ending the last quarter with a productive 20-14.
Janar Talts threw the most baskets for the Estonians with 16 points, followed by Kristjan Kangur's 15 points and Arbet Gregor's 14. On the Slovakian side, Jozef Vojtek replied with 13 points, Nuber Robert with 12, and Pandula Dusan with 10.
