Niit Wins 200-Meter Race at Kentucky Championship
Estonian sprinter Marek Niit won the 200-meter race at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Lexington, Kentucky last weekend.
According to sport.err.ee, the 24-year-old athlete representing the University of Arkansas took the highest spot on the podium with 21.10 seconds, outrunning his closest competitor, Aaron Ernest of Louisiana State University, by three-hundredths of a second.
Third place went to Akheem Gauntlett, also representing the University of Arkansas, crossed the finish line with the time 21.14.
In the 4X400 relay race, the University of Arkansas team, which also included Niit, took third place with 3:98.21.The race was won by Louisiana State University (3:06.48), followed by the University of Georgia (3:06.97).
