Young Footballer Signs With Norway's Viking FK
Forward Henri Anier, who scored 21 goals for his home club FC Flora this year, signed a three-year contract with the Norwegian premier league club Viking FK.
Viking's director of football, Bjarne Bertnsen, said Anier had caught the eye of the Tippeligaen club's scouts at a camp in Spain, where Anier was playing in Estonia's U-21 team this November.
“We are confident that Henri can handle the games. We conducted very thorough preliminary testing,” said Bertsen.
Viking will be the forward's second foreign club after having represented the Italian Sampdoria youth team in 2009 and 2010.
Anier has been capped for Estonia's national team on several occasions, including in a South American friendly tournament against Chile and Uruguay.
