Puri Signs With Finnish Premier League Club
Sander Puri, a midfielder who plays on the Estonian National Football Team, has signed an end-of-season contract with the Finnish Premier League club KuPS.
The 23-year-old had tried out with the Kuopio-based club in February, and news of an impending offer was already making its way through the Finnish media last week, reported Soccernet.ee.
The deal became official on March 26 and was announced on the club's website the following day.
Puri was two years into his five-year contract with the Greek side Larissa FC when he and the club agreed to part ways in January. He also spent five months on loan to the Polish club Korona Kielce last year.
KuPS finished last season in sixth place out of 12 in its league. Another Estonian, striker Ats Purje, is currently testing with the club.
