Estonian Air Named 'Most Punctual Short-Haul Carrier'
On April 29, national carrier Estonian Air was named the most punctual short-haul airline serving Brussels Airport in 2010.
The punctuality award was presented at the fourth annual Aviation Awards ceremony hosted by Brussels Airport to emphasize the importance of on-time departures.
Airline punctuality was assessed separately in regional, short-haul and long-haul categories.
"Departure and arrival punctuality is one of the key quality indicators of airlines and a very important aspect for travelers who value their time," said Rauno Parras, vice president of Estonian Air.
"Being the most punctual among the big international airlines and providing excellent services is the approach the whole Estonian Air team is striving towards," Parras added.
Brussels Airport is served by around 80 airlines from various regions of the world.
Estonian Air has also recently been nominated as the most punctual airline by Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, which is served by more than 100 airlines.
