National Day of Mourning Declared
The government has declared Monday, February 21 a national day of mourning for the victims of the Haapsalu orphanage fire, which claimed ten lives on Sunday.
Lääne county officials have requested that church bells all over Estonia be rung at 14:30 in memory of the victims of the tragedy.
A memorial service will be held at 19:00 at the Haapsalu Dome Church, with Andres Põder, Archbishop of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church, presiding.
