Chair of Russian Citizens' Union Dies in Car Accident
Narva City Councilor Juri Mishin, 65, and seven other people died in a three-car collision in Leningrad Oblast on Thursday.
Mishin chaired the Union of Russian Citizens in Estonia, based in Narva.
The accident occurred yesterday afternoon, when the minivan Mishin was in, heading from St. Petersburg to Ivangorod, collided with another car and a semitruck, reported ETV.
In March, Mishin ran for Parliament in the ranks of the Russian Party in Estonia, but the party did not pass the 5 percent electoral threshold.
