Train Schedules to Change on Sunday
Due to changes in railway traffic, Edelaraudtee's passenger trains will adopt a new time schedule on Sunday.
Annemari Oherd, sales manager for Edelaraudtee, said it is part of an annual schedule change, which, in accordance to international agreements, always takes place on the last Sunday of May.
Details on the new timetable are available on the operator's website, information stands, ticket sales points and the customer support line 1447, she said.
As of Sunday, the Kärkna train station on the Tallinn-Tartu route will be reopened, while the Auvere and Soldina stations on the Tallinna-Narva route will be closed, due to a lack of passengers. The Tartu-Koidula route will be extended to Piusa for the summer period.
The new schedule will remain in effect until the end of May 2013, the company said in a statement. Nevertheless, some temporary changes may occur due to railway repairs, the extent of which is to be smaller than in past years, the company said.
