The Road Administration has purchased 10 fixed speed cameras, which will be installed on the Tallinn-Narva highway in Ida-Viru County.
The devices were purchased from Alarmtec AS, it was announced on November 9. In addition to supplying the hardware, the company must also connect the devices to the already existing camera data center and carry out maintenance work for the next five years.
Initially the agency planned to have the cameras installed this year, but changes in schedule will mean that the system should start operating in July next year.
The total cost of the project is 947,136 euros.
Speed cameras are currently installed on the Tallinn-Tartu and Tallinn-Pärnu highways.
