Dogs on Rabbit Killing Frenzy
In two recent attacks, a neighbor's dogs stole into a farm killing 114 rabbits in the town of Esku.
Most of the carnage in the Jõgeva County town took place on November 13, when the dogs killed 105 rabbits. The second attack occurred five days later, reported Õhtuleht.
In monetary terms the damage amounted to 4,000 euros for the rabbit farmer.
Jõgeva police launched misdemeanor proceedings and have identified the owner of the dogs. The owner could be fined up to 800 euros.
The number and breeds of the dogs were not specified.
