The 18th Erna Raid military competition was won by the Scouts Battalion team and the top three spots were once again swept by the home teams.

The Northeastern defense district was second and a team from the Defense League's Harju district was third.

Ten of the 30 teams were international, with Finland placing best. All finished except for one. "The Swiss team dropped out, they were fetched from the forest by ambulance - one of them because of cold, another's legs were completely exhausted and he couldn't keep going," said Lt. Col. Jaak Kallak, the Erna chief of staff, on ETV.

This year's Erna was likely the last in its current location and format due to the Estonian home-field advantage.
