A record number of Russian tourists, a predicted 20,000, are expected to celebrate their New Year’s Eve in Estonia, according to Enterprise Estonia.

Most hotels have already been booked, with 95 percent of guests arriving from Russia. Many establishments are planning entertainment programs based on Slavic traditions.

Russian tourism agencies have also organized glamorous New Year parties, with entry fees of more than 100 euros, in Tallinn restaurants.

Meanwhile, Estonian Air has scheduled additional flights for its Tallinn-Moscow route, and Go Rail has announced a special train schedule for the Tallinn-Moscow route between December 31 and January 3.
