Estonia Opens Honorary Consulate in Malaysia
Minister of Economic Affairs Juhan Parts opened Estonia's first honorary consulate in Malaysia, in capital city of Kuala Lumpur, on February 12.
"It is great to see how communication between Estonia and Asian nations is thriving," Parts told uudised.err.ee, adding that the consulate would further enhance Estonia's economic ties with Malaysia.
The mission will be headed by Retired Col. Dato Harbans Singh, who was appointed to the honorary consul position in December.
The minister's five-day official visit to Malaysia and Singapore will run through February 17, during which he will meet with representatives of government and local businesses, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
