Estonia Climbs to Record 47th in FIFA Rankings
The Estonian National Football Team has reached another all-time high in its FIFA rankings, climbing 7 notches to land in 47th place.
The results, released March 7, mark the second record-breaking month this year for the team's ranking, which hit 52nd in January before sliding to 54th the following month.
Football powerhouse Spain topped the rankings list for the seventh month in a row, with the Netherlands edging out Germany for the number two spot.
Prior to last year, the highest Estonia ever climbed on the list was 60th place, which it achieved in December 2002. Its worst showing came in October 2008, when it languished at 137th.
