Ahhaa Board Member Takes the Reins in Nordic Science Association
At a meeting in Sarpsborg, Norway, a management member of Estonia's hands-on science center Ahhaa, Pilvi Kolk, was appointed to head the Nordic Science Center Forbund.
"It is an extremely big recognition for us, that we are chosen as an important partner [and[ entrusted with the leadership of an organization more than 25 years old," uudised.err.ee reported Kolk as saying.
The association is made up of 50 science centers in Scandinavia and the Baltics and aims to increase the number of joint projects, exhibits and educational programs in the region.
Ahhaa's main center is in Tartu and it has been a member of the association for 10 years. The Energy Discovery Center based in Tallinn is the only other Estonian member.
