Pärnu to Host European Ecotourism Conference
The first European ecotourism conference, EuroEco 2010, will be held in Pärnu from September 26 to 30.
This year’s conference, under the headline “Balancing Sustainability and Profitability,” will bring together 200 experts and green tourism enthusiasts from 27 countries in Europe and elsewhere.
Communications Director of the International Ecoturism Society Ayako Ezaki expressed hope that the conference will inaugurate a tradition of annual gatherings of experts, business leaders and stakeholders to encourage dialogue about the current state of ecotourism, its development and future challenges.
The recreational program for the delegates will include various eco-tours, such as sea-kayaking on the Bay of Pärnu, a wilderness trip to Soomaa National Park and bird watching on the Baltic shores.
