A 29-year-old St. Petersburg man has died in Tallinn after being struck by a falling icicle in the Old Town district of the capital on January 9.

After a blow to the head, the man fell into coma and was in intensive care until he passed away on January 19.

Authorities began a criminal investigation on January 9, looking into the property owner's possible neglect to clean the rafters from ice.
