Women support Center and Social Democrats more, men go for EKRE
Among women voters in Estonia, the majority support the Center Party and the Social Democratic Party (SDE), while men support the Conservative People's Party of Estonia (EKRE) more often than women.
According to the data from pollsters Turu-uuringute, 21 percent of men and 33 percent of women support the Center Party.
The Social Democrat´s supporters are predominantly women - 5 percent of men and 9 percent of women respondents said they support the party.
However, more men support EKRE, at 22 percent, compared with 9 percent of women. Other parties are supported by men and women equally.
Age
In the youngest age group (18-24), the most popular parties continue to be the Reform Party (22 percent) and the Center Party (23 percent).
Among the 25-49-year-olds, the Reform Party is the most-supported (36 percent); for 50 years old and older, the Center Party is leading with 34 percent.
Ethnicity
Among Estonian-speaking respondents, the Reform Party continues to be in the first place in terms of support (34 percent), followed by the Center Party (19 percent) and EKRE (18 percent) with almost equal support.
Among voters of other nationalities, the support of the Center Party continues to be the highest (61 percent). The Reform Party is supported by 11 percent and Estonia 200 by 7 percent, respectively.
Education level
People with higher education support the Reform Party the most (33 percent). Respondents with secondary, special secondary or vocational education supported the Reform Party (29 percent) and the Center Party (30 percent) almost equally. People with primary or elementary education supported the Center Party (28 percent) and EKRE (28 percent).
Region
The Center Party continues to be the most popular in Ida-Viru County with 45 percent of support. In Tallinn, the percentage for the Reform Party (31 percent) and the Center Party (33 percent) are similar.
The Reform Party is the most popular in northern Estonia (39 percent) and central Estonia (32 percent).
In western Estonia, the Reform Party shares the leading position with EKRE (the Reform Party is supported by 28 percent and EKRE with 31 percent) and in South Estonia with both EKRE and the Center Party.
Urban versus rural areas
The support for the Center Party is a little bit higher in cities than it is in the countryside - 30 percent in the cities and 22 percent in the rural areas.
EKRE and Isamaa support, on the other hand, is higher in rural areas: EKRE is supported by 13 percent of urban residents and 19 percent of rural residents, while Isamaa is supported by 4 percent of urban residents and 8 percent of rural residents. The support of other parties in rural and urban areas does not differ significantly.
Income
Support for the Reform Party continues to be the highest among the population with higher income levels. Support for EKRE and the Center Party among the population sectors with the lowest income.
