Health Board: Ten new coronavirus cases found in Estonia
Ten new cases of SARS-CoV-2, which causes the COVID-19 coronavirus, have been identified in Estonia over the past 24 hours, the Health Board (Terviseamet) reports.
Coronavirus facts as of May 26 (Source: Health Board):
- 36 people require hospitalization as of Tuesday morning.
- One of those hospitalized is currently on a ventilator.
- No deaths were reported overnight. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus in Estonia to date is 65.
- 10 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
- Of the new cases, 6 were in Harju County (two in Tallinn) and one each in Pärnu, Lääne, Rapla and Jõgeva counties.
- 78,086 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Estonia since January 31, with 2.3 percent (1,834) testing positive during that time.
- 322 people with COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital to date. 333 hospital cases have been closed.
- There are an estimated 88 active cases of coronavirus in Estonia at present. 1,552 people have recovered from the virus. Of these, 1,009 cases have been terminated (65 percent), 543 subjects (35 percent) have had a positive test for more than 28 days and are not in hospital.

Yesterday, Monday, May 25, saw one death related to the virus, one new case of coronavirus, and one person is in intensive care.
