Average price of Tallinn apartments up 9.1 percent on year in May
The average price per square meter of Tallinn apartments in May grew 9.1 percent on year to €2,126.89.
Compared with April, the average price per square meter grew by 3.5 percent, figures from the Land Board (Maa-amet) show.
The median price per square meter of apartments in the capital city grew 15.5 percent on year to €2,094.86, while an on-month growth of 5.2 percent was registered, BNS reports.
Altogether, 527 transactions worth €65.9 million were carried out in Tallinn in May, compared with 455 transactions worth €54.9 million in April. In May 2019, 830 transactions, worth €90.5 million, were conducted.
Across Estonia, excluding Tallinn, the average price per square meter of apartments grew 11.2 percent on year to €873.78 in May.
Compared with April, a decline of 5.9 percent was registered.
The median price per square meter for apartments outside Tallinn stood at €652.31, 8.9 percent higher than the year before. Compared with April, the median price declined 23.8 percent.
The number of transactions outside Tallinn was 684, and the total value of transactions was €36.6 million in May, compared with, respectively, 723 transactions, and €41.6 million, the month before. In May 2019, the number of transactions outside Tallinn was 1,306, and the total value of transactions amounted to €60.3 million.
Figures available from the Land Board may change when data is adjusted, BNS reports.
