At 3.51 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a substation failure in Lasnamäe left 5,350 consumers without power in Tähesaju region. Elektrilevi hopes to restore power by noon.

Elektrilevi is working on eliminating the problem and will try to restore power as soon as possible, the company announced.

"We're dealing with a malfunction in both feeding power cables to the substation. There's been a fire right where the overhead cable goes into the ground. The fire has been extinguished and further details have been forwarded to the police," said leading specialist of Elektrilevi control center Hardi Puusepp.
