Consumers bought fewer domestic products during crisis period
Consumers bought fewer domestic products during the crisis and paid more attention to prices, the results of a new survey by pollster Kantar Emor show.
The head of the Estonian Food Industry Association Sirje Potisepp told ETV's "Aktuaalne kaamera" on Wednesday that people have started to save money and this shows in their choice of cheaper food products.
Describing customers behavior she said: "As before we have 20 percent of customers who must always watch what they can spend. We have 20 percent of customers who never look at the price and choose their favorite foods. And we have the remaining 60 percent, who we see buying according to price preference and rational behaviour."
