Gallery: ERR supervisory board gathered with three new members
On Tuesday, June 9, the Estonian Public Broadcaster ERR's supervisory board convened with its three new members.
The Riigikogu approved the three new members of the ERR supervisory board in the middle of May - Peeter Espak, Priit Hõbemägi and Viktor Trasberg.
Representatives from each of the Riigikogu parties sit on the board, until the end of the term of office of the Riigikogu, together with four experts in the ERR's field of activity.
Of the three candidates, nobody is a member of any political party. However, Trasberg is a former member of the Center Party, having left on April 16 and Espak was a member of the Free Party until March 26.
The Riigikogu's culture committee was looking for three new members for the ERR supervisory board following the end of Pille Puulmann-Vengerfeldt's term and Head of Tallink Paavo Nõgene's decision to step down. Former board member Agu Uudelepp passed away on February 4.
The other members of the board, i.e. the party members, are Rein Veidemann (chairman), Viktoria Ladõnskaja-Kubits (Ismaa), Marika Tuus-Laul (Center), Jevgeni Ossinovski (SDE), Valdo Randpere (Reform) and Urmas Reitelmann (EKRE).
