President Kersti Kaljulaid on Wednesday proclaimed three amendments involving a change to the Courts Act, the changing of environmental charges and the establishment of the Agricultural and Food Board.
Amendments to the Environmental Charges Act will change the basis for the calculation of environmental charge rates in the case of those activities that introduce pollutants into the environment to be consumed by living organisms as nutrients.
Amendments to the Courts Act and the Code of Civil Procedure will establish a new mechanism in the Courts Act that will grant the right to direct cases to be resolved to another same-tier court if needed to ensure the sound administration of justice.
The Agricultural and Food Board, which is to begin work on January 1, 2021, will be established on the basis of the current Agricultural Board and Veterinary and Food Board (VTA).
