All patients and staff of Lihula care home recovered from coronavirus
The patients and staff of the Lihula Südamekodu care home in Pärnu County have recovered from the coronavirus and the nursing home will return to its previous work rhythm on July 1.
Vanda Birnbaum, the director of the care home, told ERR there were no more infected patients or staff. According to Birnbaum, there are still some restrictions on visits, but these are planned to end as of July 1.
According to Birnbaum, due to the pandemic, there are no plans for any further work organization in the future work of the care home, the usual work rhythm will continue.
At the Lihula care home, 21 patients and 5 employees became ill with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Three patients died from the virus.
The virus most likely reached the care home through an employee of the Tammiste care home who had a job interview.
