ERR News Jaanipäev holiday work schedule
ERR News will be closed from lunchtime, Monday, for the Jaanipäev break.
Tuesday, June 23 (Võidupäev/Jaanilaupäev), and Wednesday, June 24 (Jaanipäev), are national holidays in Estonia.
Schedule:
- Monday, June 22: Half-day.
- Tuesday, June 23: Closed.
- Wednesday, June 24: Closed.
- Thursday, June 25: Regular day.
Võidupäev (Victory Day) would normally see a large-scale military parade with the Head of State and other dignitaries in attendance. However, the aftermath of the coronavirus emergency situation mean that restrictions on gatherings of that size are still forbidden.
From next month, public gatherings of a maximum of 1,000 are permissible, meaning the traditional overnight bonfire celebrations as Jaanilaupäev gives way to Jaanipäev are likely to be more modest than usual.
ERR News is back to work on Thursday morning, June 25, and the team would like to take the opportunity to wish all our readers a restful Jaanipäev if they're marking the occasion, or a great week if not.
