Last weekend, Igor Habal won the 2013 Estonian quizzing champion title. Habal will attend the World Quizzing Championship on June 1.
The quiz was made up of 80 questions and the contestants could attain a total of 160 points, according to a statement from the Estonian Quiz Association. Habal got 80 points and won first place, followed with 77 points by Illar Tõnisson, and third place went to Indrek Salis, who has previously been Estonian champion multiple times.
Habal also secured second places in the pair and team games. The pair game was won by Tiit Naarits and Arko Olesk. First place in the team game went to Overall, consisting of Heino Raivet, Illar Tõnisson, Mati Räli, Jevgeni Nurmla and Andres Allpere.
Last year at the World Championship, Estonian Ove Põder secured first place in the culture category (architecture, fine arts, philosophy, museums, religion, mythology).
