Music composer's body elects new chief
The body representing the rights of authors and publishers of music in Estonia has elected a new head, Vaiko Eplik, ERR's Culture portal reports.
Eplik, 38, replaces Mikk Targo as head of the Estonian Author's Society (EAÜ). A new board, consisting of Virgo Sillamaa, Juko-Mart Kõlar, Kadri Sundja, Kirke Karja, Karl-Ander Reismann and Jaan Jaago, as well as Eplik, was also chosen at the organization's general meeting on July 1.
Eplik from Rapla, has been active in several Estonian ensembles and has released dozens of records.
In 2015, then-president Toomas Hendrik Ilves decorated Eplik with the Order of the White Star, 4th class.
