Gallery: Sea garbage collector installed in Tallinn harbor
A 'Seabin' has been installed in Tallinn's Old City Harbor to catch garbage floating in the sea. The project is an initiative between Tallinn and Helsinki.
The seabin's container will be emptied every two days and the contents will then be analyzed and the data kept in the global project database.
This task will be undertaken by volunteer students of environmental management at Tallinn University, said Deputy Mayor Kalle Klandorf at the launch.
The owner of the device is Wärtsilä Corporation from Finland.
