A section of Pärnu maantee, running from Turu plats to Raudtee tänav, in the southern outskirts of Tallinn, will be temporarily closed from Thursday, July 9 to Sunday, July 12.
Daily Postimees reports (link in Estonian) that the intersection of Pärnu maantee and Idakaare tänav, and the intersection of Nikolai von Glehni tänav and Pärnu maantee (see map), will be closed through the section, and traffic on the road in general is to be regulated between 6.30 a.m. and 9.30 p.m.
Passage for two-way traffic is ensured at the railway crossing on Raudtee and Rahumäe tänav, and at the intersection with Pärnu maantee.
Access to public transport is guaranteed, except for bus line number 23 which will detour via Sõpruse puiestee on Sunday, June 12.
During the renovation, the sidewalks will be repaired, and the asphalt concrete pavement of the Idakaare tänav driveway is to be renewed.
