Health Board: 35 new cases of coronavirus diagnosed in last 24 hours
Thirty-five new cases of coronavirus were diagnosed across Estonia in the last 24 hours, the Health Board said on Saturday.
Of these new infections, 22 were recorded in Harju County, four in Ida-Viru County, three each in Tartu and Võru counties and one each in Rapla and Jõgeva counties. In total, 2,365 tests were analyzed.
The last time more than 30 cases were diagnosed on a single day was on April 22.
The Health Board said on Saturday the 14-day average is 17.1 per 100,000 people.
Seven people are being treated in hospital, two less than yesterday. No deaths related to coronavirus occurred in the last day.
There are estimated to be 226 active cases and 2,491 cases of coronavirus have been recorded since February.

Harju County
Based on the information currently available, one of the 22 new cases recorded in Harju County in 24 hours was introduced from a European Union country, in two cases the virus was caught from a sick family member and two others from acquaintances.
Six cases are related to the football club Nõmme Kalju, which were found during follow-up testing organized by the Estonian Football Association (EJL).
In two cases, the source of the virus infection is unknown and the circumstances are being clarified.
There are four active outbreaks under the supervision of the Northern Regional Department of the Health Board.
Fourteen cases are associated with the Nõmme Kalju football club outbreak, eight with the Ülemiste City outbreak and six from a sauna party. There are a total of six cases of illness related to the Russian Theater.
More than 570 people are being monitored by the North Regional Department of the Health Board due to the spread of the coronavirus.
Ida-Viru County
Three cases of the disease in Ida-Viru County are related to a family, the circumstances of one case is being clarified.
The Eastern Regional Department of the Health Board is monitoring more than 670 people due to the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
There are a total of five active outbreaks in the area the largest of which is the Estonia mine which has 56 patients (31 of them are employees and 25 are close contacts of employees).
There are 15 cases related to the Jõhvi Kelder bar outbreak, 15 cases of coronavirus introduced from the United Kingdom, nine cases related to the Ojamaa mine outbreak and five cases linked to Viru Prison (three employees and two employees' family members).
Võru, Tartu, Jõgeva counties
One of the cases in Võru County was been brought in from the European Union country.
The Jõgeva County case resulted from close contact with a patient.
In Tartu County, a foreign student gave a positive sample.
The circumstances of the remaining cases are being clarified.
How can the spread of coronavirus be stopped?
- The most efficient measure is keeping your distance.
- In crowded places and especially indoors where it is not possible to keep your distance from other people, it is advisable to wear a mask.
- Closed, crowded spaces should be avoided if possible.
- Hands must be washed frequently with soap and warm water.
- When you sneeze or cough, cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissue.
- Anyone who becomes ill should stay at home, even if their symptoms are mild.
- People who develop any symptoms should contact their family physician.
