Meat Industry to Be Beefed Up With €20 Million
HKScan, the owner of Tallegg and the Rakvere Meat Processing Plant, has announced plans for a new, 20-million euro factory in Rakvere.
The new production facility will boost already the Baltics' biggest meat producers capabilities. The size of the new plant will be around 10,000 square meters, and it will focus on a new line of products.
Finnish-owned HKScan is also planning to invest around 50 million euros into its production facilities in Finland.
The company employs around 1,200 people, mostly in the NE city of Rakvere, and processes two thirds of all Estonian pigs and half of cattle.
