The Swedish Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel began their two-day visit to Estonia on Tuesday.
The aim of the royal visit is to strengthen cultural, economic and environmental cooperation between Estonia and Sweden.
The royal couple met with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and First Lady Evelin Ilves and laid flowers at the foot of the Estonia ferry memorial on Tuesday.
They also took part in the Swedish Business Awards ceremony at Kumu Art Museum, where the princess made a short speech, and participated in the Sustainable Development Forum 2014 dedicated to the Gulf of Finland Year and Baltic Sea Year.
Today the prince and princess will travel to Tartu, where they will participate in a presentation ceremony of the Nordic Museum's ethnography collection and ethno-design seminar at the Estonian National Museum, meet with members of the Estonian Students' Society and visit the University of Tartu.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven was in Estonia last week for an official trip.
