B-52 to participate in exercise over Estonia
A US B-52 strategic bomber can be seen over the skies of Estonia next week as part of the Baltops and Saber Strike military exercises.
The B-52, with a payload of around 30 tons, is one of the largest bombers in the world. The bomber will fly over Estonia in high and mid-altitudes, Eesti Päevaleht reported.
As part of the exercise, other US military aircraft will drop heavy weapons and airborne troops to an airfield in central Estonia.
A US tank and armored vehicle company, based in Latvia, will also arrive in Estonia next week. The company will participate in maneuvers in the Defense Forces' Central Training Area near Tapa.
